Dear Technical Support!
On my walk around the Internet visiting various blogs belonging to my fellow Masterclass students, I came across this little gem. We all can use a little bit of humor form time to time … so here it is
Hope you enjoy!
Svenja
“Dear Technical Support,
18 months ago, I upgraded to Girlfriend 1.0 from Drinking Mates 4.2, which I had used for years without any trouble. However, there are apparently conflicts between these two products and the only solution was to try and run Girlfriend 1.0 with the sound turned off. To make matters worse, Girlfriend 1.0 is incompatible with several other applications, such as LadsNightOut 3.1, Football 4.5, and Playboy 6.9 …. ”

Svenja,
Thanks for leaving this link, I had a good laugh.
On a REAL technical matter though, I like the way you have
co-ordinated the artwork for your subscribers entry form, with
the blog header. – It looks very professional.
Also – Does your Twitter activities get you traffic, or business in any other way?….I’m not sure what Twitter is for!?
John
Hi John,

Thank you for your visit! I am glad you enjoyed the post
The opt-in box was created by Steve at Planet Divinity. If you wish to have something match your header as well, I am sure he can create one for you in no time!
Well, and then there is Twitter … ‘TweetMyBlog’ seems to bring a bunch of new ‘followers’ whenever I update my blog, and I had one subscriber sign up via Twitter as well today (must have liked this post too
Twitter is one of the many social networking sites that seem to be the craze now. I am a beginner at all of this tweet-tweet stuff and there are already many unique plug-ins available. I am planing to check it out more at which point, I’ll write another post about it. Please let me know if you have any other questions!
Many Thanks,
Svenja
Excellent, Svenja. I laughed when I read this the first time, and again when I read it now!
Enjoy the journey.
Mandy
Hi Mandy,
Thanks for the visit … yes, it’s hilarious all the way around
Talk to you soon,
Svenja
Hi Svenja
I had a good laugh reading this post, it is so accurate isn’t it?
To answer your question yes I did win a prize in the lottery but unfortunately not the jackpot which has now gone upto 110 Million GBP.
have a great weekend.
Fantastic stuff Svenja! – Love the fact it’s so “un-PC”. And love the blog too – loads of good stuff!
BTW – I’ve never seen the “MY Twitter Friends” Gallery before. How do you do it?
Cheers,
Susan
Hi Susan,
Thank you for your visit! Your blog has been an inspiration to me – your entries are very professional and highly informative!
As far as the “MY Twitter Friends” Gallery is concerned, I actually just deactivated it. A few weeks back, I updated to a newer version and from that point on forward, I was not longer able to specify how many icons I wish to display – I only wanted to see 49 at a time. When I looked at it today, half of my blog space on the 2nd side bar was covered with little icons
So, again a few weeks back, I went to the creators website and asked for help. I never received any answer/help and today I noticed that my question (placed 2 times within 2 weeks) had been removed … so, I am hesitant to recommend this widget to anyone. Simply poor customer service if you ask me.
I’ll start to look around for something similar and let you know what I come up with. However, if you would like to play around with the widget I used to use, here is the link … http://www.paulmc.org/whatithink/wordpress/plugins/twitter-friends-widget/
Looking forward to be in touch again soon!
Svenja

Svenja
